THE STORY
What if Malaysia made chocolate worth talking about?
Twenty years ago, that wasn't an obvious question. Malaysian-made chocolate wasn't something people sought out. Our founder started anyway — out of curiosity, and the instinct that it was worth trying.
What followed wasn't a plan so much as an exploration. New flavours. Unexpected combinations. The kind of experimenting that only happens when you genuinely want to know what's possible.
In 2017, that exploration became a clearer intention. Two earlier brands — Cocoa Boutique and Chocolate Gallery — were brought together under one name: Harriston. And from there, two distinct experiences were built.Â
Harriston Boutique, for those who come to discover and take home. Harriston Chocolatier, for those who want to see what Malaysian chocolate looks like when craft and boldness are given full room.

Craft
An idea is only as good as its execution. Every product at Harriston is produced in-house — from our certified production facility to the open counters at our Chocolatier locations where pralines are made fresh, bark is mixed by hand, and Cluster Bites are packed to order. Same standard at both scales. That is what craft means to us.

Every Harriston product begins with a question — what happens if we try this? From Teh Tarik in a chocolate bar to a croissant dipped in couverture at the Makers Loft, the willingness to experiment and the commitment to get the result right is what keeps the range moving forward. Curiosity is where every great flavour begins.
